IMPORTANT USER INFORMATION
f. When not in use, store the helmet in a cool, dry place, preferably inside the original helmet bag. Keep the helmet
away from direct sunlight, as excessive heat can damage the helmet, especially if the helmet is left inside a car.
g. Treat your helmet with care! Do not sit on your helmet – do not ride with the helmet attached to the helmet holder
of the motorcycle – do not expose the helmet to excessive heat or cold.
h. Important!: NEVER use high pressure water jets to remove dirt from the helmet, since this can cause visible and
invisible damage to the shell and the EPS liner.
i. Important!: NEVER use strong solvents to clean the helmet. Exposure to strong solvents and/or solvent vapor
(including petrol/ gasoline) can cause visible and non-visible damage to the factory paintwork, shell/ EPS liner/Shield
of the helmet.
j. Important!: NEVER modify your helmet. Do not drill or cut any part or component of your helmet. Do not remove any
part(s) from the helmet. Modifying the helmet will seriously weaken or damage the helmet, including its shell and liner,
thereby reducing, or eliminating the helmet's ability to provide protection in the event of an accident or impact. In the
event that a component must be changed, always use genuine Alpinestars' replacement parts.
k. Important!: Always check and inspect the helmet, including all its components, before each use and before starting
your ride. Do not use the helmet if there are signs of damage, deterioration and/or cracks. Always ensure that all liners
and pads are attached into your helmet before you start your ride.
l. Important!: Check that the Shield is securely attached to the helmet before you start your ride. Should the Shield
become loose during your ride, it may block your vision, and result in an accident with serious consequences such as
injuries or death.
m. Important!: If the helmet is dropped, damaged or incurs a significant impact, it MUST NOT be worn, as helmets
are designed in such a manner so as to absorb the forces from an impact in the event of a fall through the partial or
complete destruction of the helmet's outer and/or inner shell. Even if after such an incident, there may be no visible
damage to the helmet, the helmet MUST be replaced for safety reasons, as the helmet's ability to absorb future
impacts is compromised. If you have any doubts about the integrity of the helmet, consult Alpinestars or your local
Alpinestars' Dealer.
n. Important!: Certain paints, thinners, and adhesives can weaken and do permanent damage to the shell and/or the
EPS liner and/or Shield of your helmet, hence painting is not recommended. In addition, it is recommended that you
don't apply stickers to the helmet as components in the adhesive may discolor or damage the shell. Alpinestars cannot
guarantee the minimum protection level will be met on helmets that have been painted.
o. Important!: Alpinestars recommends not to place motorcycle gloves in the inside of the helmet as chemicals from
the gloves, or residue from petrol can damage the helmet's inner lining.
2. Life Span
Alpinestars recommends that the helmet is replaced 5 years after it is first worn, regardless of whether visible
damage is present or not. If your helmet becomes less than snug in fit, Alpinestars advises that it should be replaced
immediately, and in advance of the 5-year period.
In the event of an accident where the helmet strikes the ground or the helmet incurs any other significant impact, the
helmet MUST NOT be worn and MUST be replaced, as the helmet is designed to absorb ONE IMPACT ONLY. Even if
there are no scratches or damage to the outside of the shell, the EPS liner which is hidden from view may have been
compressed or compromised and will provide NO protection in future.
At the end of the helmet's life, please ensure that it is disposed of in accordance with local waste regulations.
3. Damage Waiver
By using this helmet you assume all risks and liabilities for loss, damage, or injury arising out of its use and you WAIVE
any claims against Alpinestars and/or any of it is affiliated entities, distributors, suppliers and agents for any damages,
direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise for bodily injury, including but not limited to death, or any financial loss or
loss of profits that might be incurred as a result of using the helmet or any alleged defect therein.
