Neck Fit Adjustment
The A-HEAD Neck Pad adjustment system allows the Neck Pad (9b) to be adjustable between two height level positions
on the mounting points, as shown in Figure 22, page 10.
At time of helmet purchase, the Neck Pad (9b) is mounted in position 1 of the height levels on the two mounting points
located on the rear EPS protective foam.
When changing from position 1 to position 2, the helmet will rotate upwards.
To change the position of the Neck Pad (9b), pull the two rear studs fixed in position 1 inwards, and push both studs into
position 2.
IMPORTANT!: This action MUST be done on BOTH sides of the Neck Pad (9b).Never only do it on one side.
Make sure that both sids of the Neck Pad (9b) are well fixed in your helmet
before you use your helmet. A loose Neck Pad (9b) will compromise the fit of
your helmet.
9. SPOILER
The helmet with graphics comes fitted with a longer Race Spoiler (7a), a Standard Spoiler (7b) is available in the box.
The Solid helmet comes fitted with a Standard Spoiler (7b), a longer Race Spoiler (7a) is sold separately. It is possible
to switch from one type of Spoiler to the other.
Never try to switch from one type of Spoiler to another when riding. Stop riding,
remove your helmet, and then switch the Spoiler.
To remove the Spoiler (7a or 7b), grab it on one side and gently pull it outwards until it disengages from the snaps and the
double side tape on the shell.
Remove residual double side tape from Spoiler (7a or 7b) and from shell.
To install the spoiler (7a or 7b), peel off the double side tape, position it on the snaps on the shell starting from one side,
and accurately push it until all the snaps are locked and the double side tape attached.
Before riding, always check that the Spoiler (7a or 7b) is securely installed.
See Figure 23, page 11.
In the event of an accident or impact, the Spoiler (7a or 7b) may shatter or disconnect due to the impact or pressure arising
from such accident.
Do not use the helmet if the Spoiler (7a or 7b) is missing, broken or damaged.
Replacement Spoilers (7a or 7b) are available. ONLY use genuine Alpinestars' Spoilers (7a or 7b), please ask your dealer
for Alpinestars' spare parts.
Never grab your helmet by the Rear Spoiler (7a or 7b), as this could cause the
Rear Spoiler (7a or 7b) to detach and the helmet to fall on the ground, causing
damage to the outer and inner shells.
10. EMERGENCY HELMET REMOVAL SYSTEM
In the event of an accident, and to help the medical staff to safely remove the helmet from the head of the rider, the
helmet is equipped with an Emergency Release System (ERS) for safe and easy removal of the Cheek Pads (11) while
the helmet is still on.
Remove the Cheek Pads (11), by inserting the fingers in the pockets indicated by the logo ERS on each lower side, then
pull outwards: the Cheek Pads (11) will disengage from the inner protective shell.
EMERGENCY REMOVAL OF THE HELMET SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY TRAINED PROFESSIONALS
