21.1
Information in Relation to the MRL 2006/42/EC
This operating and project engineering manual is structured in accordance with the Machinery Directive
2006/42/EC.
The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC sets out safety requirements for machinery and installations placed
on the market in the European Union.
21.2 Information on Functional Safety according to EN ISO 13849/
Performance Level
The graph for determining the required Performance Level (PL) is based on the identification of the risk and
the resulting need to reduce it to an acceptable level.
Low risk results in PL = a (low risk mitigation measures)
High risk results in PL = e (comprehensive risk mitigation measures)
