A protective device is integrated into the battery to prevent deep discharge. This prevents deep discharge
under normal operating conditions. Empty batteries should be charged promptly to prevent further deep
discharge due to self-discharge.
The battery's service life strongly depends on the individual usage profile and environmental influences
(heat, cold and heavy drop damage). The battery should be replaced after 500 charging cycles or after
approx. 2-3 years of operation or as soon as the device runtime is significantly reduced.
If metal shavings or other conductive parts get into the battery compartment, the M2Smart
must be switched off and cleaned immediately.
