Systems
We will compare the DAT with other popular tape record/playback
systems. You will recognize how excellent the DAT is in the audio
field. Being not inferior to CD in sound quality, the DAT excels
the compact cassette which is mainly used at present.
The high reliability and excellent functions of the DAT of the latest
format allow the DAT to find extensive applications, not only to
audio equipment but also to business-use PCM data recorder. It
is interesting to watch how widely the DAT will be applied in the
future. Therefore, in this sense, DAT is regarded to be a promising
tape system.
