USING.YOUR.MACHINE
• Do not use the machine to pick up humid or hard material such as: water, liquids, pieces
of glass, iron, stones, cones, nuts or tin cans, this could be very dangerous for you and the
machine.
• Do not use the machine to pick up hot embers or material which is burning, smoking or
smoldering. Do not use the machine to pick up lit cigarettes. Do not use the machine to pick
up material which has been contaminated by flammable or explosive materials. Do not suck
in highly flammable fumes. Always check that the material picked up by your machine is not
flammable, toxic or explosive.
• Do not use the machine without the dust bag in place.
• Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all objects which
can be thrown by the machine from the work area. Always keep the area to be cleaned free
from wires, stones, debris, tin cans and other obstacles.
• Always check the area to be worked, for wire, stones and other debris etc, that could cause
damage to the machine and injury to the operator.
• Avoid colliding with hard objects which could damage your machine.
• Never vacuum objects that contain hazardous substances (e.g. asbestos).
• Keep bystanders and animals at least 5 m away from the working area.
• Keep your body and clothes away from the heating or rotating parts of this unit. No loose
clothes, neckties and necklaces are allowed when you operate this unit.
• Do not manually insert objects into the suction tube.
• Do not insert your hands and fingers into the vacuum opening or exhaust opening.
• Exercise caution with tools that decelerates. Before commencing work on these tools, wait until
they have come to a complete standstill!
• Hold the machine firmly in both hands when working with it.
• Never let any person who is not familiar with these instructions operate this machine.
• Know how to stop the machine quickly in an emergency.
• Never operate the machine if any of the guards are damaged, incorrectly fitted or missing.
• Make sure that you have adopted a safe and secure operating position before using the
machine.
• Make sure that all nuts and bolts are secure before starting the machine.
• Only use the machine in dry surroundings never outdoors in the rain or moisture.
• Do not use the machine if it has a faulty safety device or if is incomplete.
• Do not leave engines running in closed rooms where dangerous carbon monoxide could
cumulate. Do not operate this unit in closed areas-such as garages, greenhouses, inside
building, sheds, etc.
• Walk, never run.
• For wheeled machines, mow across the face of slopes, never up and down.
• Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes. Do not use this unit on uneven,
slippery or too sloping surface.
• Do not leave the equipment unattended in the workplace.
• Work only in daylight or in good artificial light.
• Stable posture, especially in steep terrain must always be ensured.
• Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the machine towards you.
• Do not tilt the machine when starting or switching on the motor, except if the machine has to
be tilted for starting. In this case, do not tilt it more than absolutely necessary and tilt only the
part which is away from the operator.
• Do not change the engine governor settings or overspend the engine.
• Never pick up or carry a machine while the engine is running.
