20.3 Special versions of the MAX BE
Chapter 20.3 describes the special versions of the mobile workstation MAX BE with lead batteries.
20.3.1
MAX BE TK Deep-freeze version (TK version)
The TK mobile workstation is marked with three snowflakes on the front.
It has an operating temperature of -28 °C to 40 °C.
The mobile workstation must be removed from the deep-freeze zone for charging.
If the mobile workstation is recharged after use in a deep-freeze zone, the charging LED flashes red or
yellow, depending on the battery charge level. When charging is complete, the charging LED flashes green.

CAUTION
Please note that only this version may be used in a deep-freeze zone. Please do not leave the mobile
workstation in a deep-freeze zone with the same battery pack for longer than 8 hours, otherwise there is a
risk that the electrolyte in the battery will freeze.
The ambient temperature before charging should be at least 15 °C, otherwise the battery will not
be sufficiently charged within the specified charging time.
