CAUTION
Please note that, when final discharge status is reached (red LED lights up, acoustic signal
sounds) and the time for automatic switch-off expires, the mobile workstation switches off all
consumers. This protects the batteries from deep discharging, however it comes with a risk of
system crashes of PCs not suitable for this.
To switch off the mobile workstation and the equipment connected to it, press the On/Off button on the front
again (switch light goes out).
20.1.3

Mode 2: charging with the integrated charger

Switch off the mobile workstation and the equipment connected to it by pressing the On/Off switch on the
front (switch light goes out). Open the rear panel of the mobile workstation and plug the charger connection
cable into a stationery 230 V AC shockproof socket. The charging process starts automatically and is
completed after approximately eight hours. Once a week, the Mobile Workstation should be charged for
more than ten hours, as this contributes to the longer life of the batteries used.
Do not plug the charger connecting cable into the mobile workstation socket strip because this will
not charge the batteries.
CAUTION
To synchronize the displayed charge level with the actual charge level of the batteries, the mobile
workstation MAX should be fully charged after each use.
If the mobile workstation MAX is not used for a longer period of time, it must be charged every
four weeks.
WARNING
The following regulations apply to charging:
Check the charging cable for visible damage before charging.
Ensure the room in which the mobile workstation is charged is adequately ventilated.
Do not smoke or use naked flames when handling batteries.
Ensure no inflammable materials or spark-generating equipment is within a radius of at
least two metres of the mobile workstation during charging.
Keep fire extinguishing equipment ready.
Do not place metal objects on top of the batteries. Do not place objects directly on top of
the batteries.
20.1.4

Mode 3: charging and operation

You can continue working with the mobile workstation while it is in charging and operation mode.
Do not switch off the mobile workstation for charging, and plug the charger connection cable into a stationery
230 V AC shockproof socket. The charging process starts while the mobile workstation is in operation.
