Safety guidelines and risk warnings

WARNING
Work on the lithium-ion battery (Li-Ion battery) should only be carried out by a professional. Avoid
smoking, sparks or naked flames in the vicinity of Li-Ion batteries.
Wear goggles and protective clothing. Do not touch your eyes with your hands during or after
working with batteries. After working with batteries, wash your hands thoroughly.
Take care when using metal objects in the vicinity of batteries. This can cause a short-circuit and
an explosion of the battery.
Remove personal items such as rings, bracelets, watches and necklaces when working on
batteries. In the event of a short-circuit, these can lead to serious injuries.
In the event of a fire, use a Class D fire extinguisher, foam or CO2 fire extinguisher.
Before you open the battery module or the electronics box, switch off the mobile workstation
using the On/Off switch and disconnect the connection cable of the charger for the battery tray. If
a DC/AC converter is installed, voltages of up to 1000 V can occur which can cause injury or even
fatality in the event of incorrect handling or operation. This may also cause severe material
damage. Touching live parts of the mobile workstation, especially on the output side of the DC/AC
converter, can also lead to severe or even fatal injuries.
After automatic shutdown due to overheating or overloading, the inverter may switch on again
automatically. More information on this and about possible malfunctions and their causes is
available in the chapter: Information on "installation parts - DC/AC converter" or in the enclosed
manual for the DC/AC converter.
WARNING
Never attempt to open the Li-Ion battery or to dismantle it. The electrolyte is highly corrosive.
Under normal conditions, there is no contact at all with the electrolyte. If the battery housing
should be damaged, do not touch any escaping electrolyte or powder, as both are highly
corrosive.
