20.2.1
General: MAX BE Li-Ion
The MAX BE with lithium-ion technology provides all the benefits of modern and efficient battery technology:

Low weight
•
Short charging cycles
•
Interim charging possible (each charging counts)
•
High degree of energy utilisation in a charging cycle (discharge from 100 % to 0 % and recharging to
100 %). This is at 92 %
Long operating life, approx. 2500 cycles at 80 % discharge depth
•
Wide operating temperature range
Fast-charging possible (depending on charger)
•
The lithium iron phosphate battery has an integrated cell balancing and cell monitoring function. The
additional external battery management (BMS) monitors the following functions:
Automatic cell balancing
•
Protection of battery cell against voltage dip (under 2.5 V)
•
Protection of battery cell against voltage surge (over 4.2 V) through reduction of the charging current
•
Switching off system in case of excess temperature (if temperature of the battery cell rises above
•
50 °C).
