Starting
MPEG1
Mixer
From the Start menu, select [Programs] — [Panasonic
DVD-RAM] > [MPEG1 Mixer] — [MPEG1 Mixer].

Cut the video.
Import the video you want to edit.
@ Click on the [Open] button.
€) Select the MPEG1 file and import it
to the display area.

@ Click on the [È] button.
Play starts.
€) Click on [Start clip] to specify the point you want cutting to start.
(After you click [Start clip] it changes to [End clip].}
&) Click on [End clip] and specify the point you want cutting to stop.
The video you cut is now displayed in the cut scene area.

Edit the video.
1) Drag and drop the cut scene to the video editing area.

@ After you have arranged the video the way you want it, click on the [Save]
button.
Note:
ə Select Active Movie before using MPEG1 Mixer. To start the Active Movie selection program, from the Start
menu select [Programs] — [Panasonic DVD-RAM] > [MPEG1 Mixer] — [Active Movie Select Switch].
e Active Movie is included with Windows 98 and Internet Explorer 4.0 / 5.0.
e You can edit files only if they are recorded with the same MPEG
format.
e Editing is accurate to within 2 frames either side of the point that was cut.
e The following types of images can not be edited.
(1) Images that do not comply with MPEG1 standards.
(2} Images without accompanying audio.
(3) Images with a size other than 352 x 240, 320 x 240, or 160 x 120.
(4) Images with differing sizes or bit rates.
e Repeated editing may cause images to deteriorate.
e Refer to the help files for operating and troubleshooting procedures. The help files can be opened either
by clicking [Help] on the application, or by selecting [Programs] — [Panasonic DVD-RAM] — [MPEG1
Mixer] — [Help for MPEG1 Mixer] from the Start menu.
