• Download the necessary driver from the following website and install it on your computer. For the driver installation procedure, refer to the installation manual on the following website. For the latest information on drivers, visit the following website. http://pro-av.panasonic.net/ Overview The AJ-MPD1G (hereinafter referred to as “microP2 drive”) is a two-slot drive for reading and writing P2 content on microP2 cards (two cards at a time) when connected to a Windows PC or Macintosh via USB 3.0/USB 2.0 (one USB cable connection that provides bus power). The microP2 drive is capable of transferring clip data shot with a memory card camera-recorder compatible with microP2 cards to a personal computer (Windows/ Macintosh) at high speed. This device supports not only the transferring and copying of clips recorded on microP2 cards but also direct editing. -

Accessories USB cable Operating Environment Required for Installation The host computer requires the following to operate the microP2 drive. USB 3.0/USB 2.0 port: one or more Up to two microP2 drives can be connected to one personal computer. • Connect the USB connectors on the microP2 drives directly to the USB ports on the personal computer. If the USB connectors on the microP2 drives are con- nected to a USB hub, the P2 drives may not be recognized, the driver may not be applied, and other problems may occur. • If you connect a total of two drives, such as two microP2 drives or a microP2 drive and a P2 drive, to a Macintosh, set the volume label names of the microP2 cards so that they are not duplicated. If the volume label names are duplicated or not set, "NO NAME" will be displayed. -

Disconnecting the microP2 Drive from a Personal Computer „ Windows XP Select “Safely Remove Hardware” in the task tray, stop “Panasonic P2 Series USB Device,” and then disconnect the USB cable. „ Windows 7 If there are any microP2 cards inserted in the microP2 drive, click the up arrow in the task tray, select “Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media”, select “Eject microP2 Drive,” and then disconnect the USB cable. If there are no microP2 cards in the drive, the USB cable can be disconnected without performing an operation on the computer. „ Windows 8 If there are any microP2 cards inserted in the unit, click the up arrow in the task tray in the desktop screen and then select "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media." Next, if "Eject microP2 drive" is displayed, select "Eject microP2 Drive." If the ejecting of microP2 cards is enabled without "Eject microP2 Drive" being displayed, eject all of the microP2 cards. Finally, disconnect the USB cable. Inserting and Removing a microP2 Card „ Inserting a microP2 card • F irmly push the microP2 card straight into the slot until it clicks into place. NOTE: • When inserting the microP2 card, insert it in the correct orientation. Inserting it the wrong way round may damage the slot or microP2 card and result in a loss of data. To prevent the accidental deletion of data, set the write-protect switch of the microP2 card to the LOCK position before you insert the card. „ Removing a microP2 card Push a microP2 card inserted in a slot further into the slot until you hear a click and the microP2 card is pushed out toward you. Then, remove the microP2 card. NOTE: • Removing a microP2 card in any other way may cause the data to be corrupted or a malfunction. • To remove a microP2 card on a Macintosh, drag the microP2 card icon to the Trash, make sure that the icon has disappeared and the access indicator on the microP2 drive has turned off, and then physically remove the microP2 card. • When a microP2 card is being inserted or removed, it may fly out of the slot sud- denly. -

Zubehör USB-Kabel Für die Installation erforderliche Betriebsumgebung Für den Hostcomputer ist die folgende Betriebsumgebung zum Betreiben des microP2-Laufwerks erforderlich. USB 3.0/USB 2.0-Anschluss: einer oder mehr Bis zu zwei microP2-Laufwerke können mit einem einzelnen Personalcomputer verbunden werden. • Verbinden Sie die USB-Stecker der microP2-Laufwerke direkt mit den USB- Anschlüssen des Personalcomputers. Wenn die USB-Stecker der microP2- Laufwerke an einen USB-Hub angeschlossen sind, werden die P2-Laufwerke eventuell nicht erkannt, der Treiber könnte nicht genutzt werden oder es könnten andere Probleme auftreten. • Wenn Sie insgesamt zwei Laufwerke an einen Macintosh anschließen, wie zwei microP2-Laufwerke oder ein microP2-Laufwerk und ein P2-Laufwerk, richten Sie die Laufwerkskennzeichnungen der microP2-Karten so ein, dass sie nicht dop- pelt vorhanden sind.
