I. Description – purpose of use of the generator
The inverter generator HERON® 8896231 is intended for powering electrical appliances in locations, where
there is no access to the electrical power grid.
Thanks to the inverter system, the weight and dimensions of the generator have been significantly
reduced, however still retaining a high electrical power output, which is sufficient for powering the majori-
ty of electrical devices (see below).
V
y In the event that the generator is used as a backup electrical energy source for powering TN-C-S (TN-C)
networks (i.e. fixed electrical grids in apartments, houses, etc.), the connection of the generator must be per-
formed only by an electrician with the necessary qualifications, since it must be put into balance with the IT
network of the generator with the TN-C-S (TN-C) grid. The generator may be connected to a TN-C-S (TN-C) grid
only via an overvoltage protection that is built into the TN-C-S (TN-C) grid.

The high quality of the input voltage ("smoothing out" of the sinusoidal
waveform by the inverter system) and the sufficiently high operating
electrical power output for powering the majority of electrical devices
enable this generator to be an el. power source for a wide range of appli-
cations, that can be used not only for powering sensitive electrical appli-
ances, e.g. computers and other office equipment, TVs, medical devi-
ces, etc., (if devices with an electric motor, with a ramp up power input, are
not connected at the same time, see chapter VII). Also for powering power
tools for work on building sites, in mobile service centres or for recreatio-
nal purposes for use at weekend houses, caravans, boats, etc.
The generator must be powered using gaseous propane-butane from
a standard
propane-butane pressure vessel that is used for powering, for example,
gas stoves with the use of a pressure regulator for these types of pressure
vessels, using petrol or natural gas under the condition that the prescribed
supply pressure and flow rate is met, see Technical specifications (chapter II).
The generator is equipped with a digital counter of total operational
H
hours from the first start, operational hours from the previous start,
current voltage and frequency, with the values shown on the display after
a button is pressed on the display.
The generator has a 12 V socket for charging car batteries.
