X Perform the first oil change after the first 5 hours of

operation because there may be fine metal dust from
the engine's bores present in the oil, which may cause
the oil sensor to short-circuit.
X An inspection of the clogging condition of the

air filter must be performed each time before the
generator is put into operation, since a clogged air
filter prevents the supply of combustion air into
the engine, which leads to its clogging, etc. Clean
the filter every 50 hours of operation according
to the described procedure, when used in a dusty

frequently depending on the dustiness of the envi-
ronment. In the event of heavy soiling or wear and
tear/damage, replace it with a new original part
from the manufacturer (the air filter for the given
generator model can be ordered under the number
listed in table 1). The generator must not be ope-
rated without an air filter or without an original air
filter from the manufacturer, which has the neces-
sary porosity and filtration effectiveness that is
necessary for the proper operation of the engine.
X These maintenance points may only be performed by

a service centre authorized for the Heron® brand. The
performance of the tasks by a different service centre
or by the user themselves will be assessed as unautho-
rised tampering with the product, the result of which is
the voiding of the warranty (see Warranty conditions).
