For dual crown steerer Marzocchi forks: Install the steering bumpers onto the upper tubes. Use a
torque wrench to tighten all top and lower crown pinch bolts to 7.3 Nm (65 in-lb).
Note: The BOMBER 58 can be set up with either a direct-mount or a steerer mounted stem. The
direct-mount stem to crown bolt torque must not exceed 12.4 Nm (110 in-lb).
7. Install the brakes according to the brake manufacturer's instructions.
Maximum rotor size is 203 mm.
The disc brake caliper mounting bolts must have 10-12 mm of
thread engagement with the fork. Use a torque wrench to tighten
the caliper mounting bolts to the disc brake manufacturer's
specification, but do not exceed 10.2 Nm (90 in-lb). Improper
installation can lead to brake failure, resulting in a loss of control
of the bicycle and SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH.
8. Route the front disc brake hose or cable housing to the inside of the
lower leg, and through the supplied disc brake housing guide. Use a
torque wrench to tighten the disc brake hose guide screw to
0.9 Nm (8 in-lb).
PINCH AXLE INSTALLATION (BOMBER 58)
1. Install the front wheel into the dropouts and slide the axle through the dropouts and hub.
2. Use a 5 mm hex wrench to torque the axle bolt to 2.2 Nm (19 in-lb).
3. Torque the two pinch bolts on the non-drive side dropout to 2.2 Nm (19 in-lb).
4. Compress the fork a couple of times to ensure that the lower leg has settled into its low-friction point.
5. Torque the two pinch bolts on the drive side dropout to 2.2 Nm (19 in-lb).
