5.2 REGULATION OF PRIMARY AIR.
• The primary air jet is fixed and should not be adjusted.
5.3 REGULATION OF BURNER PILOT.
• Ensure that the flame envelopes the thermocouple and that it is
even. If aspect is not correct check that the correct valves are
being used (see tab. 2).
5.4 MINIMUM THERMIC CAPACITY REGULATION (fig. 6)
• Remove front panel in order to obtain access to control points.
• Light the main burner and position handle to maximum allowing
full operation for a couple of minutes then move handle to
minimum position.
• The burner is correctly regulated if no re-ignition occurs when
burner is hot nor flame lift when burner is cold. Also when the
handle is turned rapidly from maximum to minimum the flame
should not go out.
• Regulation of gas flow : to reduce turn screw "1" clockwise and
to increase turn anti-clockwise.
• For liquid gas the "minimum" screw should be screwed to the
bottom.
• For natural gas, adjust according to table 3 - reduced power.
• Ensure the burner ignites even when on minimum.
5.5 CONVERSION TO ANOTHER TYPE OF GAS
To allow the appliance to function using a gas other than the type
specified, for example changing from natural gas to liquid gas, it is
necessary to change the main burner injectors and the pilot light
injectors (see table 2), and re-adjust the minimum by-pass.
All the injectors required are supplied with the appliance in a sepa-
rate accessory bag.
N:B: After conversion to a different type of gas supply, it is
necessary to change the data plate with the correct sticker (also
included in the accessory bag) showing the new type of gas
and covering the old sticker.
5.5.1 Replacing the main burner injector (fig.7)
From the underside of the appliance, unscrew injector "1" and
replace with the appropriate one according to the type of gas being
used (see table 2). The diameter of the injector is shown in a
hundredth of a millimeter on the injector body.
• Screw the new injector firmly into place
5.5.2 Replacing the pilot light injector (fig. 8)
• Remove screw "D" from the manifold.
• Remove injector "F" and replace with the appropriate one.
The number which identifies the injector is indicated on the body.
• Replace screw "D" securely.
N.B.: After making any alterations to the gas injectors and manifold,
always check for leaks using a soapy solution.
6. FUNCTIONAL VERIFICATION
• Switch on the appliance following the instructions for use.
• Check the appliance for any leaks.
• Check the ignition of the pilot light and main burner and ensure
the flames are stable.
• Check the efficiency of the extractor hood.
• Explain to the user how to operate the appliance following the
safety precautions, cleaning and maintenance according to the
user manual, making them aware of all warnings and
recommendations.
7. MAINTENANCE
All parts which may require servicing and maintenance are easily
accessible from the front of the appliance by removing the control
panel and the panel under the door.
7.1 PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS.
Problems may occur even during normal operation.
The pilot light does not ignite.
Possible causes:
• The spark plug is badly inserted or has a bad connection.
• The electronic ignition module or spark plug cable is damaged.
• Insufficient gas pressure.
• Blocked injector.
• Faulty gas valve.
The pilot light goes out when the gas valve is released.
Possible causes:
• The thermocouple is not sufficiently heated by the pilot light.
• The thermocouple is faulty.
• The gas valve is not pressed enough.
• Lack of gas pressure.
• Gas valve is faulty.
The pilot light remains lit but the main burner does not ignite.
Possible causes:
• Loss of gas pressure in the manifold.
• The injector is blocked or the gas valve is faulty.
• The gas holes in the burner are blocked.
7.2 REPLACEMENT OF PARTS
Warning! Replacement of parts should only be carried out by a
qualified engineer.
Piezoelectric igniter
• Remove the handles and control panel by undoing the screws.
• Replace the ignition unit, re-assembling in reverse order.
Ignition Plug (fig.8 "A")
• Remove the inferior panel in order to facilitae the operation; which
should be carried out from under the appliance casing.
• Remove the ignition plug cable.
• Unscrew bolt "G".
• Replace part and reassemble in reverse order.
Thermocouple (fig. 8 "B" and fig. 6)
• Remove the handles, the control panel and the inferior panel.
• Unscrew nuts "H" of the pilot and "3" of the gas tap.
• Replace the component and re-assemble in reverse order.
Pilot Light Burner (fig. 8 "C")
• Remove the inferior panel and continue from under the casing.
• Remove thermocouple "B", gas connection "D", spark plug "A".
• Remove injector "F" and keep in a safe place. Dismantle the
pilot burner "C" and replace with new one.
• Re-assemble in reverse order.
• Check for leaks.
Main Burner (fig. 7)
• Proceed from under the casing.
• Remove the nuts which secure the burner to the support and
dismantle it from the casing.
• Remove all nuts which secure the boiler to the manifold.
• For installation follow the same procedure in reverse order.
Gas Valve (fig. 6)
• Remove the handle and the control panel.
• Unscrew the manifold from the pilot "2" and the thermocouple
"3".
• Unscrew gas in/out-let connections "4" and "5".
• Remove the screw which secures the tap to the support.
• Replace the component and re-assembling in reverse order.
• Before mounting the panels, check for leaks.
