Before you place a patient on the product, zero/tare the scale.
N N o o t t e e
• Z Z e e r r o o will display for non-NAWI and T T a a r r e e will display for NAWI.
• Always zero/tare the scale after you add a support surface, mattress, or linens to the bed frame.
To zero/tare the scale:
1. On the H H o o m m e e screen, press the S S c c a a l l e e button (G) ( Footboard control panel, advanced - Home option (page 45)).
2. On the S S c c a a l l e e screen, press the Z Z e e r r o o / / T T a a r r e e button (H) ( Footboard control panel, advanced - Scale option (page 51)).
3. On the N N e e w w P P a a t t i i e e n n t t ? ? screen, you may choose from the following:
• Y Y e e s s to zero/tare and delete scale history.
• N N o o to zero/tare and not delete scale history.
• C C a a n n c c e e l l to cancel zero/tare and return to the S S c c a a l l e e screen.
N N o o t t e e - - Do not touch the product when you zero/tare the scale.

W W A A R R N N I I N N G G - - Do not use the scale system reading as a reference for medical treatment. The scale system assists only to
monitor the patient's weight variation.
Before you place a patient on the product, zero/tare the scale ( Zeroing/taring the scale, advanced option (page 52)).
N N o o t t e e - - Always zero/tare the scale after you add a support surface, mattress, or linens to the product.
To weigh a patient:
1. On the H H o o m m e e screen, press the S S c c a a l l e e button (G) ( Footboard control panel, advanced - Home option (page 45)).
2. On the S S c c a a l l e e screen, press the S S a a v v e e W W e e i i g g h h t t button (G) ( Footboard control panel, advanced - Scale option (page 51)).
N N o o t t e e - - Do not touch the product when you weigh the patient.
The S S c c a a l l e e I I n n f f o o screen will display when the last weight was taken on the L L a a s s t t W W e e i i g g h h line ( Footboard control panel,
advanced - Scale option (page 51)).
N N o o t t e e - - The previous weight from the L L a a s s t t W W e e i i g g h h line will appear in S S c c a a l l e e H H i i s s t t o o r r y y (C) ( Footboard control panel, advanced -
Scale option (page 51))
