Loosen the sprocket (E) to de-tension the transmis-
sion chain.

Loosen the nut (D).
6) Adjust the sprocket (F) using the stud bolt (G).
The rod conveyor must fit perfectly against the roll-
ers (H).
7)
Tighten the nut (D).
8)
Repeat the same procedure to adjust the position
of the sprocket at the opposite end.
9)
Tension the drive chain (see "Adjusting the trans-
mission chain tension").
10) Position the fixed casing (C).
11) Tighten the screw (B).
12) Tighten the screws (A).
Adjusting digging shaft chain tension
NOTICE
Do not overtighten the chain as this
could cause premature wear of the
chain and the sprockets.
Carry out the operations described.
1) Loosen the screws (A).
2) Unscrew the screw (B).
3) Remove the fixed casing (C).
4) Loosen the sprocket (D).
5) Adjust the sprocket until you reach
the sag value (F) shown in the figure.
6) Tighten the sprocket (D).
7) Position the fixed casing (C).
8) Tighten the screw (B).
9) Tighten the screws (A).

ADJUSTMENT INFORMATION
NOTICE
The adjustment must be performed in exactly the
same way on both sides of the machine to prevent the
rod conveyor moving sideways during operation.
Check for any sideways movement when the rod con-
veyor is moving.
If the rod conveyor moves sideways, repeat the ten-
sioning procedure.
