DC connections and DC switch
DC+
Fig. 5.7.:
DC connections and DC switch
The DC connections are used for connecting the PV module
string(s) to the solar power inverter.
The solar power inverter is equipped with integrated DC
switching for disconnecting the DC connections from the DC
voltage of the PV modules.
The maximum permissible input current is 29 A for each DC
connection.
Connection type: MultiContact MC4, 3 x for DC negative, 3
x for DC positive
5.5.3
AC connection
The AC connection is used for connecting the solar power
inverter to the grid.
The solar power inverter can be connected to grids with
3 phases and a grounded star point (L1, L2, L3, neutral
conductor and protective ground conductor).
The grid must have one of the following grounding systems:
●
TN-C
●
TN-S
●
TN-C-S
●
TT
Connection type: Amphenol C16-3 AC, plug supplied in the
scope of delivery
5.5.4
RS485 interface (EIA485)
The two RS485 interfaces are used to connect one or more
solar power inverters to a monitoring system.
The RS485 interfaces are internally wired 1:1. This means
that both RS485 interfaces can be used as an input or an
output.
Multiple solar power inverters are connected in series. Each
solar power inverter must have a unique RS485 ID. The
termination resistor must be switched on at the last solar
power inverter in the series.
The RS485 ID and the termination resistor can be set dur-
ing initial commissioning (see
later (see
"10.2.6 RS485 (EIA485)", p.

5.5.5
USB interface
The USB interface is used for saving and loading data and
reports.
Supported functions:
●
Firmware update
●
Saving and loading of settings
●
Saving of swap data
●
Creating reports
●
Service
See
"11. Saving and loading of data and settings", p. 46
detailed description of the functions.
Connection type: USB A
5.5.6
I/O interface
The I/O interface is used for transferring status signals to
and from other devices, for example a monitoring system.
The I/O interface contains the following components:
●
2 relays, individually configurable for different status
signals
●
2 inputs for an external signal for stopping the grid feed-
ing
See
"11. Saving and loading of data and settings", p. 46
detailed description of the functions.
Connection type: Proprietary, plug supplied in the scope of
delivery

Fan
The external fan is standard component of the solar power
inverter and ensures adequate ventilation for cooling the
solar power inverter. The cooling always has a positive
effect on the integrity of the solar power inverter.
Information on replacing the fan is provided in
ing the fan", p. 55.
