Service Instructions - Auto Trim
Make sure all parts are clean. O-rings (51, 63) should be lightly greased. Valve (60) and bracket (65) should be sparsely oiled with light oil. Make
sure that the valve moves easily on the bracket. When adjusting the throttle valve (64), start from fully closed position (CW) and open between
6-8 rev. and then follow the trouble shooting.
Trouble shooting - Auto Trim
Fault
Tool does not shift to open position
when pulsing starts on a joint
Tool starts with full free speed in
rundown (or when running 'in the air')

For better understanding of the behaviour of the AutoTrim valve, the inspection/demo kit (sight glass) 4080 1151 80 recommended.

These steps may have to be repeated if the throttle valve is far away from correct position
Free speed – AutoTrim
Normal free speed with closed AutoTrim valve and with open
AutoTrim valve is given below (approximate values):

NB: to get the free speed with open valve you can open the throttle
valve 2-3 revolutions

Technical Instructions
Remedy
Open (CCW) throttle valve 1/4 to 1/2 rev.
(with 1.5 mm hexagon wrench supplied with the
tool)
Close (CW) throttle valve 1/4 to 1/2 rev.
(with 1.5 mm hexagon wrench supplied with the
tool)
