Type of joint (Hard or Soft)
The tightening time (i.e. the number of pulses per tightening) is
depending on joint hardness. Hard joints gives short and soft joint
longer operation time, see fig.
Max. recommended tightening time is 3 seconds.
Min. recommended number of pulses per tightening is 3-5.
An increased number of pulses per tightening implies an improved
accuracy. Fewer pulses per tightening implies an increased scatter.

Operating area
Max. recommended tightening time is 3 seconds. Longer time
indicates that the joint is too soft for the machine used. If so it is
recommended to choose a bigger size of machine or another type of
nutrunner.
Min. recommended number of pulses per tightening is 3-5.
In case with few pulses per tightening (low settings and on hard joints
- shaded area ), accuracy can be improved by.
- – Reducing free speed even further
– Reducing pulsing power = more pulses (only AT-versions)
Trouble shooting
Fault
The preset torque is decreasing and the
pulse frequency is slightly increasing
The machine does not reach the
expected torque
The machine does not shut off
Pulse frequency too low or too high
