•
In order to fold the backrest, pull the locking pin using the strap on
the backrest and then fold the backrest down (Fig. 08).
•
Pull the wire behind the backrest. When doing this hold the back-
rest firmly with your other hand.
•
When you release the wire, the bolts will click into the holes.

Make sure that both bolts, right and left are
completely in place.
3.5.4. Slack in the backrest
A well-adjusted backrest will make it easier to sit for long periods of
time more comfortably and effectively reduces the risk of pressure
points. When doing this make sure there is sufficient slack in the pelvic
area.
•
Remove the cushion support of the backrest sling.
•
Undo the hook and loop fasteners on the belt straps (Fig. 9).
•
Adjust the straps in sequence, starting from the bottom.
•
Put the cushion support of the backrest sling back in place.
3.5.5. Sideguards
Make sure that the wheelchair is switched off before

removing the sideguards.
The sideguards can be completely removed for side transfers. Note that
the sideguards can be removed but not completely separated without
disconnecting the cable for the control units. In addition the height of
the armrests can be adjusted. Adjust the sideguards to move to the
side.

Removing sideguards
•
To remove the sideguards, undo the clamp lever screw (Fig. 10) and
pull the armrest out upwards.
•
When fitting the sideguards make sure that they are pushed in to
the limit and fixed back in place.
Adjusting the height
•
First take the sideguards out of the bracket.
•
Remove the check screw (Fig. 11) and screw it into the required
position in the armrest.
•
The lowest hole is the maximum height setting for the armrest. Use
medium-strength screw lock liquid to fix in place.
Moving sidewards
•
Undo the screws of the relevant sideguard (Fig. 12) under the seat
and push the sideguard to the required position.
•
Re-tighten the fixing and secure with medium-strength screw lock
liquid.
Moving lengthwise
•
First take the sideguards out of the bracket.
•
Undo the armrest screws.
•
Move these to the required position
•
Screw the armrest firmly back onto the sideguard.
Make sure that the adjustment is only within the
marked area!
3.5.6. Control unit
The control unit can be fitted below the armrest, either on the right or
left. The adjustment must be carried out by your dealer, to guarantee
that the wheelchair operates safely
.
Note that the cable to the control unit must be
relocated. Consult a specialist to do this.
