Welding procedure
Pulsed arc welding to be applied only
1. Working diagonally when tacking, 8 times with filler
2. Welding may only be carried out using a welding fixture that
needs to be connected to forming gas
(see 221MBL007030G); when fitting the fixture, first position
the segment clamping device from the outside and secure it.
Then fit the relevant plate from the inside of the tank. The max.
tightening torque for the nuts in the fixture is 60 Nm. After
welding, quickly cool the weld seam with water.
3. Weld the root without filler if possible; top layers are welded
with filler (number of top layers depending on material
thickness)
4. Before welding the inside replace the plate of the fixture with a
smaller plate.
5. Only remove / reclamp the fixture once the temperature of the
component has fallen to < 30 °C.
