APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The S9M type series transducers are suitable for measuring tensile and compressive
forces. They provide highly accurate static and dynamic force measurements and must
therefore be handled very carefully. Particular care must be taken during transport and
installation of the devices. Dropping or knocking the transducer may cause permanent
damage.
Section Specifications (VDI/VDE 2638) on page 26 lists the permissible limits for mechan­
ical, thermal and electrical stress. It is essential to take these limits into account when
planning the measuring set-up, during installation and, ultimately, during operation.
