To determine the play between the knuckle eye and the shaft bearing, for the S9M you
can apply the following rule of thumb:
Permitted play = shaft diameter / 10.

3. Shaft surface quality and hardness
The recommended surface roughness is ≤10 μm.
The shaft must have a minimum hardness of 50 HRC.
7.3.4 Installation with load button and thrust piece
For measuring compressive forces, the S9M can be equipped with a load button and ap­
propriate thrust piece (available as accessories). To do this, the force transducer must be
