Fault Checking and Maintenance
9.1
Fault Checking
The remedying of defects in circuits that are live, or under pressure, should only be
WARNING
carried out by specialist qualified personnel.
Error indication
No suction at applicator pump
Reduced applicator performance
No pressure build up in the
lubrication circuits
9.2
Maintenance
The metering station is tested at the factory and when dispatched is in a technically
sound condition and in accordance with the specifications.
To maintain this condition, and for trouble free operation, the user must pay careful
attention to the content of these instructions.
Before any maintenance or repair tasks are carried out on the equipment, it is most
WARNING
important to ensure that it has been disconnected from the electricity supply and has
been de-pressurised. After parts have been replaced, a functional test is to be carried out.
Maintenance tasks on equipment that has been connected up should only be carried out
by qualified personnel. When using hazardous substances the appropriate safety
CAUTION
instructions are to be observed. Operators must be equipped with their own personal
safety equipment (protective goggles, gloves, apron).
9.3
Maintenance Tasks
When carrying out maintenance tasks particular attention is to be paid to the
following points:
Check for accumulation of dirt and foreign material
Required applicator function is set
Functioning of solenoid valves
Check and, if necessary, clean nozzles and filters
Functionality check of suction circuit (mesh filter and valve at lower input port,
protective cover)
Suction and pressure valves on the pump
Functionality check of the return hose from the pressure release valve.
The hose must have a free downward gradient.
Check that the suction and pressure circuit connections are leak free.
