Introduction of combustible or occasionally explosive media in OXYMAT 7
Explosion hazard
The introduction of combustible and/or occasionally explosive media in OXYMAT 7 can
lead to an explosion.
• Install suitable flame arresters in the sample gas and reference gas paths directly at the
Loose lines or open purging gas connections at the wall-mounted device (operation with
types of protection Ex t and Ex ec)
Danger of explosion in hazardous areas
In the case of operation with the types of protection Ex t and Ex ec, purging gas
connections (connection nozzles) must always be closed.
• Close all openings, such as purging gas connections, with Swagelok pipe plugs (SS-
• Ensure sure that all lines to be connected are secured in place.
