8. Preliminary operations before the first start-up
On first using the appliance it is necessary to perform a number of operations:
Rinsing components

Remove the basin.

Wash the tank and all of its parts
thoroughly with water.

Pour into the tank natural mineral
water or good-quality drinking
water (*).
(*) NOTE: Water, by its nature, contains different concentrations of mineral salts that determine its hardness and
that over time lead to the formation of limescale.
Replacing the water softener filter at the scheduled expiry dates is fundamental for the quality of the
beverages dispensed and for keeping the machine performing correctly.
Electrical connection

Extract the tank from the machine.

Rinse the new filter with running water.
Place it in a container with a litre of
water for at least 5 minutes.

Put back the lid and the basin of the water tank.
Check that the tank is still correctly
engaged.
Connect the machine
electrically inserting the
power cable plug into a
power socket previously
installed.

Separate the individual parts of the tank.

Position the filter by inserting it in the
specific seat inside the tank.

Wash filters and filter holders
fitted thoroughly with water.
Do not put the tank
into a dishwasher.
Press the main switch
located under the machine.
