Adjusting the Tracking

If streaks or noise bands appear on the playback
picture, adjust the tracking condition.
Use TRACKING – or +.

Adjusting the Sharpness

You can adjust the sharpness using TRACKING
(SHARPNESS CONTROL) – or +.
Press MENU for 3 seconds or more during playback.
"SH" appears in the display window.
Press TRACKING – or + to adjust the sharpness:
press TRACKING – to make it softer and press
TRACKING + to make it sharp and clear. By pressing
TRACKING – and + simultaneously, sharpness
control setting is back to center.
To release sharpness control function, press MENU or
press STOP x.
Using the Adaptive Picture
Control (APC)
Adaptive Picture Control (APC) automatically
improves recording and playback quality by adjusting
the VCR to the condition of the video heads and tape.
To maintain better picture quality, it is recommended
to set APC to ON in the GENERAL SET menu.

Turn on the power of the equipment to be used.

Press MENU and MENU V until "5" of the MAIN
MENU flashes on the monitor screen.

Press MENU B.
The GENERAL SET menu appears.

Press MENU V to move the flashing to the setting
of APC and set to ON by pressing MENU + or –.

Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.
To return to the MAIN MENU screen from the
current menu
Press MENU again.
To go to the next menu from the current menu
Press MENU V while keeping MENU B pressed.
