Selecting the Tape

This VCR is designed and calibrated for 240-minute or
180-minute tape (E-240 or E-180). To ensure stable
operation and optimum picture quality, we recommend
that you use a Sony 180-minute tape for long
recording.

Turn on the power of the equipment to be used.

Press MENU and MENU V until "5" of the MAIN
MENU flashes on the monitor screen.

Press MENU B.
The GENERAL SET menu appears.

Press MENU V to move the flashing to the setting
of TAPE.

Set to E-240 or E-180 by pressing MENU + or –.

Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.
To return to the MAIN MENU screen from the
current menu
Press MENU again.
To go to the next menu from the current menu
Press MENU V while keeping MENU B pressed.
