APPENDICE

VERIFICHE DOPO LA GARA
Dopo la gara, pulire il motociclo come
sottoriportato poi ispezionare il veicolo
ponendo particolare attenzione ai punti
indicati nel paragrafo "MANUTENZIONE"
come filtro aria, carburatore, freni etc.
Effettuare una lubrificazione generale ed
eventualmente le registrazioni necessarie.
INATTIVITA' PROLUNGATA
Dovendo lasciare inattivo il motociclo per un
certo periodo di tempo, effettuare la
seguente preparazione:
- Pulire completamente il motociclo.
- Scaricare il carburante dal serbatoio
vuotando anche la vaschetta del
carburatore (il carburante, se lasciato a
lungo, si deteriora).
- Lubrificare la catena della trasmissione
secondaria e tutte le trasmissioni flessibili.
- Per evitare la formazione di ruggine
spruzzare olio su tutte le superfici
metalliche non verniciate. Evitare che le
parti in gomma o i freni entrino a contatto
con l'olio.
- Porre il motociclo su un supporto o un
cavalletto in modo che entrambe le ruote
siano sollevate da terra (nel caso non si
potesse procedere in questo modo, mettere
delle assi sotto le ruote per evitare che i
pneumatici rimangano a contatto con
l'umidità).

AFTER-RACE CHECK POINTS
After racing, first clean the motorcycle and
then inspect the entire motorcycle, with
special attention to the items listed in
«MAINTENANCE», such as the air clea-
ner, carburetor, brakes, etc.
Carry out general lubrication, and make
adjustment as necessary.
STORAGE
When the motorcycle is to be stored for
any length of time, is should be prepared
for storage as follows:
- Clean the entire motorcycle thoroughly.
- Empty the fuel from the fuel tank, and
empty the carburetor float bowl. (If left in
for a long time, the fuel will deteriorate).
- Lubricate the drive chain and all the ca-
bles.
- Spray oil on all unpainted metal surfaces
to prevent rusting. Avoid getting oil on rub-
ber parts or in the brakes.
- Set the motorcycle on a box or stand so
that both wheels are raised off the ground.
(If this cannot be done, put boards under
the front and rear wheels to keep dam-
pness away from the tire rubber).
APPENDICE
CONTROLES APRES CHAQUE
COMPETITION
Après chaque compétition, nettoyer le
motocycle en suivant les instructions
données ci-dessous et prêter un attention
particulière au paragraphe "ENTRETIEN",
aux points: filtre à air, carburateur, etc.
Effectuer un graissage général et les
réglages, si nécessaire.
LONGUES PERIODES D'INACTIVITE
Après une longue période d'inactivité,
préparer le motocycle comme suit:
- Nettoyage général du motocycle
- Oter le réservoir carburant et la cuve du
carburateur aussi, car le carburant tend à
se déteriorer.
- Graisser la chaîne d'entrainement
secondaire et toutes les transmissions
flexibles.
- Enduire d'huile les surfaces en métal ne
pas vernissées afin d'éviter la formation de
rouille. Eviter que les éléments en
caoutchouc, ou les freins, entrent en
contact avec l'huile.
- Placer le motocycle sur un support ou un
tréteau de façon à soulever les roues du
sol. (Au cas où il ne serait pas possible,
placer des planches sous les roues pour
soulever les pneu et ainsi éviter tout
contact au sol, où on peut avoir de
l'humidité).
