4. Installation
You need a router to connect the EOC master to the Internet. Typical routers are:
•
xDSL routers from telephone providers
•
xPON routers for FttH connections
•
DOCSIS cable modems from cable network operators
•
LTE routers for the mobile phone network.
The EOC master modulates the IP data and feeds it into the coaxial network via the G.hn output. The data can
be received at the EoC endpoints.
Internet requests from the devices connected to the EOC endpoints (PCs, notebooks, etc.) are forwarded to the
Internet via the EoC master.
•
The coaxial cable network must be constructed according to EN 60728-11 and earthed accordingly.
•
The EOC devices use the frequency range of 5...204 MHz.
•
All components in the coaxial cable network must have return path capability in this frequency range.
•
The frequency range of 5...204 MHz must be free.
