6.2.2. System – IP settings of the EOC master
The IP settings are made in the System menu item.
Activate Second master (EOC 30-21 only). With this option, the second master must be activated for the EOC
30-21. Only then can 32 EOC endpoints be connected.
The MAC aging time specifies the time before an entry ages and is discarded from the MAC address table.
The range is from 0 to 1000000; The default value is 300 seconds. Entering the value 0 disables MAC aging.
IPv4/6 Link (Off, Static oder DHCP)

Off: IPv4/6 deactivated, the setting options are hidden
•
Static: IP settings can be assigned manually
•
DHCP: IP settings are dynamically requested from a DHCP server
•
RADVD: IPv6 setting is requested from a RADVD server
DHCP Option 82 and Snooping
The EOC master can use DHCP Option 82 and Snooping (option=enabled) and check that the devices
connected to the endpoints use the valid IP/MAC assigned by the DHCP server (IP source guard).
6.2.3. NMU Settings
Here you make the settings for the Network Management Unit (NMU) within the EOC master.
Port Setup (G.hn:Port)
To configure NMU Ethernet port properties, include speed, flow control, and maximum Downstream/Upstream
rate (bandwidth control) of port LAN1/LAN2/EoC1.
IGMP
IGMP snooping can be activated here.
Quality of Service (G.hn:QoS)
By default, packet priority is based on 802.1p. Alternatively, TOS/TC or DSCP can also be selected.
Traffic Awareness should be configured to "On" in any case. This achieves optimized data traffic.
For Ethernet packets there are 4 priorities, called Queue 0-3.
Queue0 (lowest priority ... Queue3 (highest priority).
Individual TCP / UDP ports can be assigned the priorities Queue 1 to 3 in order to prioritize them higher. Queue
0 is assigned to all the other ports.
