6. Correct and secure fastening of the pedals in their cranks
To facilitate transport, the pedals are not mounted ex works. The marking on the
pedal thread "R" (right = right-hand thread) and "L" (left = left-hand thread)
must be observed.
The pedal marked "R" must be screwed into the crank on the chain wheel or on the
chain case side by clockwise rotation, and the pedal market "L" must be screwed
into the other crank arm with counter-clockwise rotation.
To avoid damaging the thread, the first turns of the thread must be completed without tools
(always in the direction of movement). You can then use a 15 mm open-end spanner to firmly
screw the pedals to the cranks (according to the technical specifications: 30 Nm).
7. Adjustment of the saddle height to the proper body size
When adjusting the saddle height it is absolutely essential to consider the height of the child.
To ensure a secure change to position, the saddle must be adjusted so that at least the ball of the feet of the child reach the
ground.
8. Observe the STOP marking / secure fitting of the saddle post
Please make sure to observe the STOP marking for all saddle posts.
This is engraved at least 55 mm from the lower edge of the post. Once the saddle
height has been adjusted, the marking must no longer be visible. Otherwise there is a
great risk of the saddle post and/or seat tube breaking (risk of accident!!!).
The angle of the saddle can be modified when the saddle clamp bolt has been
loosened.
