Welds cleaning equipment
2. Start scouring / polishing by placing the pad / brush (18/19) moistened with the electrolyte
solution (11) in contact with the solder to treat. Treat welding by exerting pressure until scoured
/ polished. (Fig. G8 - G9 Fig.).
Attention: polishing requires a greater quantity of electrolytic solution compared to scouring.
Attention: the pad / brush (18/19) must always be soaked in electrolyte solution (11); change
the pad / brush (18/19) when showing signs of breaks or burns).
Never put the support of the torch (17) without the pad (18) in contact with the
metal.
Attention: Correct use of scouring brush:
During stripping, hold the brush in a perpendicular position relative to the
weld and always soaked in electrolytic solution.
6.4. At the end of scouring / polishing
1. Put the torch (12) on its support (13).
2. Disconnect the grounding cable clamp (9) from the workpiece.
VERY IMPORTANT (for best results)
3. Remove excess solution from the cleaned part to avoid rings caused by the electrolyte
solution.
4. Spray the surface with Clean-Inox-L solution (20) to fully neutralize any residual electrolyte
solution (Fig. G11).
5. Clean the surface using a microfiber cloth, dampened with clean water.
6. Wipe the surface dry with a dry microfiber cloth.
6.5. Switching the machine off
1. Set the main switch (2) to "O" (OFF) position.
2. Disconnect the device plug (1) from the power outlet.
3. Perform maintenance on the machine (paragraph 8).
7. Electrochemical Marking
In addition to the functions of stripping and polishing, the machine also has the electrochemical
marking function on stainless steel (red zone). This function allows printing instantly on the
metal (stainless steel) any logo. The electrochemical principle is based on electrolysis with non-
corrosive or irritant neutral solutions. It is possible to get darker and clear marking by
placing the processing selector (5) on the AC alternating current position (black line) or a clearer
and lighter EDM marking treatment by setting switch to position DC (white line).
Attention: to perform marking, you need a labeling kit and a screen frame (custom made
graphic based on customer specifications).
The labeling kit and screen printing frames are sold directly by Lincoln Electric Europe.

7.1. Silkscreen frame
To perform marking it's necessary to use a silk screen (28)
(custom made graphic under customer specifications). The stencil
can be purchased directly from Lincoln Electric Europe and it can
be made in different sizes. Standard dimensions range from a
minimum of 25 x 15 mm to a maximum of 257 x 170 mm. A marking screen, used in compliance
with all the instructions given below, allows the production of almost 500 markings.
For more information, contact: Lincoln Electric Europe (www.weldline.eu).
7.2. Installing the marking graphite support
1. Slightly loosen the fastening post (22) on the handle (21) using the 2.5 mm Allen wrench.
2. Place the insert (23) on the handle (21) and tighten the fastening post (22) with the 2.5 mm
Allen key (Fig. H1).

7.3. Installing marking pens
1. Placing the marking felt (24) on the graphite insert (23) so that it is well covered.
Attention: incorrect installation of the marking felt (24) may have the following effects:
• short circuit by contact between the exposed graphite insert (23) and the part to be marked.
• deterioration of the silk screen (28) by contact between the screen and a uncovered corner
of the graphite insert (23).
2. Attach the marking felt (24) on the graphite insert (23) with the ring (25) (Fig. H2).
7.4. Function mode Selection
Turn the knob (5) on the function relating to the type of marking needed (red zone):
Black line (AC): for a darker and obvious marking (marking with electrolyte - 26).
White line (DC): for clearer and light labeling (with erosion electrolyte - 27).
7.5. Electrical connection
With machine is unplugged from power:
1. Plug one end of the torch power cable (10) to the connector of the torch (21) and the other
end of the power cable to the socket (4) located in the front of the device. (Fig. H3).
2. Plug the ground cable (9) into the yellow socket (3).
3. Connect the ground cable clamp (9) to workpiece.
4. Plug in power cable (1) into the socket (consistent with existing safety and regulatory
standards - take into account the voltage of the machine, which is indicated in the technical
data affixed to the front of the unit).
7.6. Marking operations
ATTENTION: To obtain a good labeling result when using a new screen, it is advisable to
do some testing
1. Place the screen printing stencil (28) on the part to be marked.
2. Moisten the marking felt (24) with a few drops of electrolyte solution (26/27) (Fig. H4).
Attention: In case of markings in series (up to a maximum of 15), it is not necessary to
moisten the felt each time (24).
10
3. Turn on the machine: switch (2) to "I" (ON).
4. Pass marking felt (24) moistened with electrolyte solution (26/27) on the screen printing
stencil (28), making sure not to pass over the edges to prevent damage to the stainless steel
surface (Fig. H5).
Never place the pen on the steel without first turning off the machine; in this case, the
Erosion
marking process will continue which will damage the work-piece.

7.7. At the end of marking
1. Replace the handle (21) on its support (13).
2. Turn off the machine: switch (2) to "0" (OFF).
3. Remove the ground cable clamp (9) from the workpiece.
4. Remove the screen printing stencil (28) from the workpiece.
5. Disconnect the device plug (1) from the power outlet.
VERY IMPORTANT (for best results)
6. Spray the surface with Clean-Inox-L solution (20) to fully neutralize any residual electrolyte
solution (Fig. G11).
7. Clean the surface using a microfiber cloth, dampened with clean water.
8. Wipe the surface dry with a dry microfiber cloth.
9. Rinse the screen-printing frame (stencil) (28) under running water to prevent the formation
of crystallization on its surface.
