Operation
ESM/ CC-ESM (see Fig. L)
Clockwise:
Push the CW/CCW reversal switch 9 to
the left to tighten bolts with right-hand
thread.
Counterclockwise:
Push the CW/CCW reversal switch 9 to
the right to loosen or unscrew bolts with
right-hand thread.
8.3
Starting the nutrunner
When first starting the nutrunner after switch-
ing the tightening channel on, make sure that
the output drive can turn freely to allow for
correct motor alignment.
The tightening process is started using the
start switch on the hand-held nutrunner.
Push and hold the start switch until the nut-
runner switches off automatically.
Releasing the start switch will abort the tight-
ening operation. The aborted tightening pro-
cess is evaluated by the controller:
• If the torque threshold (basic setting: 5%
of the nominal torque of the hand-held nut-
runner) was not exceeded, there will be no
evaluation. The system interprets this pro-
cess as "Play at start switch" and ignores
it.
• If the initial torque was exceeded, tighten-
ing is evaluated as faulty (NOK) and the
red LEDs are illuminated.

If the ErgoSpin/CC-ErgoSpin
hand-held nutrunner is used as a
stationary tightening spindle, the
start switch must be continually
actuated. Lock the start switch on
the ErgoSpin/CC-ErgoSpin hand-
held nutrunner using the velcro
tape.
8.4
Tool button
On delivery, the tool button is con-
figured such that NOK tightening
must be acknowledged with the
button. Further tightening pro-
cesses can only be started after
this acknowledgement.
Push the tool button to acknowledge.
The function of the tool button can be
changed via the PLC assignment table (con-
trol signals) in the operating system, e.g.
BS350 or BS350 CC-ES (until the BS350
standard with V2.400 has been introduced).
