The Visionary-B has two discrete outputs that can be used to output detections in spe-
cific zones and the system status.
The switching behavior can be defined by selecting one of the four different operating
configurations (see "8.4.1 Alarm management" on page
signals are linked to a specific zone:
• active high output: In the event of a warning in both zones, both channels switch
from "low" 0 V to "high" 12 V. This makes it possible to monitor two zones simulta-
neously.
• active low output: In the event of a warning in both zones, both channels switch
from "high" 12 V to "low" 0 V. This makes it possible to monitor two zones simulta-
neously.
• active high & autodiag. output: In the event of a warning in both zones, only the
channel with the higher priority switches from "low" 0 V to "high" 12 V. This makes
it not possible to monitor two zones simultaneously.
Both outputs switch to "high" when the self-diagnostics function outputs a warning.
• active low & autodiag. output: In the event of a warning in both zones, only the
channel with the higher priority switches from "high" 12 V to "low" 0 V. This makes
it not possible to monitor two zones simultaneously.
Both outputs switch to "low" when the self-diagnostics function outputs a warning.
NOTE!
When the system is started up in "active low" operating mode, the discrete alarm signal
briefly switches to "high".
You can check the availability of the system using the control monitor. To obtain un-
ambiguous status information without a control monitor, please use the "active-low &
autodiag._output" operating mode.
ColliseoClient is a programming interface that enables you to receive, visualize and
process data from the Visionary-B PS. It can be installed on Windows or Linux (Ubuntu),
and is used for application programming.
1. Please download the installation file. This is available at
www.sick.com/visionary-b
2. Install the ColliseoClient software by running the installation file.
NOTE!
Please use the appropriate installation file for your operating system.
The files are uniquely named. The installation requires administrator rights.
Detailed information on installing the programming interface is available in a separate
document that is included in the installation package.
