Danger as a result of improper use of the tyres
CAUTION
Risk of accident as a result of insufficient or excessive tyre pressure The effectiveness of the
wheel lock and the overall driving quality are dependent on adequate air pressure. The wheel locks
are only effective with sufficient air pressure and proper adjustment (approx. 3 mm distance, subject
to technical changes).
Before starting to use your wheelchair, check that the tyres are inflated correctly. The required air
pressure is printed on the side of the tyre. For rear wheels, it should be at least 75 bar. With properly
inflated rear wheels and even tyre pressure on both sides, your wheelchair is much easier to operate
and manoeuvre.
CAUTION
Risk of accident as a result of bad tyres Insufficient tread depth of the tyres reduces adhesion.
Please note that when you operate your wheelchair in public road traffic, you are subject to road traf-
fic regulations.
Risk of skin damage
CAUTION
Be careful in case of unhealthy skin Using the wheelchair with unhealthy skin can cause medically
indicated complications such as reddening of the skin and pressure sores. Over several hours of use,
the skin on the buttocks, back and rear thighs is subjected to considerable strain. Therefore, always
check these areas carefully before using the wheelchair.
No liability will be assumed for health injuries caused by use of this wheelchair with damaged skin.
Danger caused by fire/heat and cold
CAUTION
Risk of burns when near to fire The seat and back upholstery might catch fire. Keep the wheelchair
away from all sources of ignition, especially lit cigarettes.
CAUTION
Be careful in case of extreme temperatures The wheelchair can heat up significantly when in the
sun or in the sauna. In extreme cold, there is a risk of hypothermia.
Risk of hand injuries
CAUTION
Risk of hand injuries To avoid hand injuries, the user must not grasp between the rear wheel and the
wheel lock when driving the wheelchair.
CAUTION
Risk of pinching between wheelchair components The wheel lock lever and the clothing protector
side panel can represent a risk of crushing with various adjustment options. Teach the child not to
place fingers between the clothing protector lip and the rear wheel or in the recess for the wheel lock
operating lever.
