6 Adjustment/Assembly Instructions

All wheelchair users have their own expectations regarding wheelchair type, accessories, seat-
ing and handling. For this reason, users can adjust the BRAVO Racer active wheelchair in a
variety of different ways to suit their needs. We recommend that you and the user consult with
your dealer or therapist to determine which wheelchair settings will work best.
INfORMATION
The following tools are required for repair and maintenance:
• Allen wrenches, sizes 3 mm, 4 mm and 5 mm
• Open-end wrenches, sizes: 10 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm and 24 mm
• Set of screwdrivers
• Torque wrench
• Tyre levers
6.1 Adjusting the height of the footrest (Fig. 38, 39)
To adapt to the lower leg length, the footrest bar is continuously adjustable.Loosen the inner
screws on the back of the clamps that guide the footrest bar and cross brace (Figure 39, mark-
ing A) until you are able to move the footrest bar in the clamp. Set the desired lower leg length
by moving the footrest forward or back. Ensure that the footrest bar is in the same position on
both sides.
If you are unable to reach the desired lower leg length, remove the footrest bar completely and turn
it around. Then proceed as described in 6.2. After adjustment, snugly retighten the screws.
Ensure that all screws are properly re-tightened before using the footrest. The correct

torque for the screw (Figure 39, marking A) is 8 Nm.
Make sure that the footrest bars are guided completely in the clamp profiles to achieve

a sufficient clamping effect.
