3 Delivery/Preparing the Wheelchair for Use
CAUTION
Risk of pinching Only grip the components shown when folding or collapsing the wheelchair.
Your wheelchair is usually delivered fully assembled, with the backrest folded and the rear wheels
removed.
Three simple steps prepare it for use:
1) Unlock the backrest by pulling the cable control (Figure 1).
2) Fold the backrest to the rear (Figure 2) until it contacts the stop. The angle between the seat
and backrest is pre-set to 90° at the factory. The side panels are automatically moved to the
correct position via a guide (Figure 3).
3) Attach the quick-release rear wheels to the quick-release axle housings. To do so, reach into
the spokes close to the hub of the rear wheel and press the button on the quick-release axle
with your thumb. Then you can easily slide the rear wheel into place (Figure 4). Ensure that
the quick-release axle is securely locked in the axle housing!
The overhang of the back upholstery can be easily pushed under the seat upholstery. We rec-
ommend keeping the overhang stored like that at all times.
