8) Press the clips out of the functional knee
part using an Allen key size 4 and separate
the upper knee part from the lower knee
part.
9) Sand the upper knee part and ball top in
the required area (only permitted in areas
marked grey in the illustration).
INFORMATION: Sanding the white area
is not permitted.
10) Check the upper knee part and ball top for
collisions with the socket again. Note steps
2-4!
→ If the socket and upper knee part con
tinue to collide even though the permit
ted area has been entirely sanded, the
upper knee part has to be removed
together with the clips and axles.
→ If securing the upper knee part using
the Allen key size 2 is no longer pos
sible after processing the functional
knee part, the correct position of the
upper knee part has to be checked
with the help of the functional shank.
To do so, insert the joint into the func
tional shank. After processing has
been completed, the upper knee part
has to be flush with the edge of the
functional shank without contacting the
extended socket.
→ If the ball top and socket still collide,
the ball top can be removed. (see
fig. 7).
