When equipped with a drive wheel suspension, the B 500/B 500-S has a battery drawer (Fig. 20).

By pushing the release bolt upwards, the drawer can be easily pulled out to the back (Fig. 21).
To remove the cover of the battery case, undo the snap lock of the safety strap (Fig. 22).
14.3 Front wheel swivel lock
Driving onto ramps or into and out of elevators generally requires exact straight forward movement. With the
front wheel swivel lock option of the B 500, the front wheels can be locked in the forward position, thereby
preventing the wheelchair from turning. To engage the lock, move the folding lever on the front frame slightly
to the side until it snaps out of its mid-position. A bolt is then released from the bottom edge of the frame and
engages in the front caster fork as soon as the straight forward position of the wheelchair is reached.
