The B 500 will now drive only straight forward or backward. By turning the folding lever back to its mid-position,
the caster fork becomes released and can be again freely rotated. The lever engages into the center of the front
frame.

14.4 Elevating footrests

14.4.1 Adjusting the height

By loosening the screw on the footrest bar, the footrest height can be adjusted to your lower leg length and the
seat cushion thickness. Five threaded holes in the footrest bar allow to adjust the height at five positions. All
screws and nuts must be retightened after making any adjustments.

14.4.2 Elevating the footrests

The footrest can be elevated by applying slight forward pressure onto the footplate, or, by applying pressure
from beneath toward the footrest bar. When the desired height is reached, the footrest will lock under weight
bearing into one of the notches. To again change position, slightly lift the footrest bar and press the lever located
at the upper pivot point of the footrest to the rear. Once the lever is let go of, the footrest bar locks into the next
possible position.

14.5 Control panel

(B 500 and B 500-S)

14.5.1 Control panel, downwards adjustable

A special control panel holder can be mounted optionally, allowing the control panel to be moved downwards
(Fig.25).

14.5.2 Swing-away control panel

With an optional holder, the control panel can be swung to the side. This allows wheelchair users to edge up to
tables and other objects.
Using the swing-away control panel:
- With light pressure, press the control panel holder to the side.
- The pivot element is then released and the control panel can be swung to the side (Fig. 26).
- The control panel can turned back all the way to the armrest.
- When bringing the control panel back to its original position, the pivot element automatically locks into place.
