1 About This Documentation
These instructions contain important information on the safe and appropriate
assembly, operation, and maintenance of the LS04 (with D-Sub connection,
multipole plug) and LS04 SW (with individual wire connection) valve systems and
how to remedy simple malfunctions yourself.
O Read these instructions carefully, especially the separate document "Notes on
Safety" (R412015575), before working with the product.

About This Product

Performance specifications
The LS04/LS04 SW is a pneumatic valve system with electrical control. With the
LS04/LS04 SW you can distribute stored pressure energy to your system
components in a targeted manner, e.g. by controlling pneumatic cylinders. Thanks to
its modular design, you can implement numerous pneumatic functions in general
machine construction.
With the LS04, up to 24 valve positions with 24 solenoids can be controlled using the
25-pin D-Sub connection. With the LS04 SW, the valves can be wired directly and
individually. It is possible to combine valves from both systems (when doing so,
please read the information in "Mixing the LS04 and LS04 SW").

2) A maximum of 24 plate valves with single solenoid valves may be installed and controlled.
The components in detail
Left end plates
The connections for the main air and pilot air (air supply and exhaust), as well as the
electrical control, are integrated via the left end plates. Left end plates are available
in IP20 and IP50 versions.
