The control of axial adjustment can be done by measuring the distance before setting H1, the distance after adjusting H2 and
making the subtraction "H2 - H1" (fig. 15).
If this has been done correctly, it will be possible to turn the regulating nut using a spanner by hand, without difficulty, the
regulating nut acting on it with a flat spanner, screwing (OR drive heads, - fig. 16) or the half coupling mounted on the shaft
(ME drive heads - fig. 17).

All drive heads are equipped with a device that blocks transmission shaft if it is rotating in the wrong direction. The
right rotation direction is the one wich allows the free rotation of the transmission shaft.
OR drive heads: Replace the upper cover.
ME drive heads : Electrically connect the motor before mounting on the pump and check that the rotation direction is correct -
it must always be anti-clockwise looking at the joint. Attach the semi-joint on the motor side, checking that the elastic parts are
in place. Place the electric motor on the head by means of the lifting apparatus. The motor flange should be able to be placed
perfectly on the head flange and the joint must be normally inserted. If this is not possible, check the position of the two semi-
joints, one on the head and the other on the electric motor.

Cooling (OR drive heads)

Insert a small flexible discarge pipe into the small tap on the side of the drive head and push it towards the inside of the well
(fig. 18). Open the tap to ensure an appropriate cooling. The water pressure of the cooling system must be less than 6 bar.
