SET INSTALLATION

The set must be fitted in a well ventilated place, protected from unfavourable weather conditions, and with
an environment temperature not less than 4°C (10°C if motor pumps are installed too), and not exceeding
40°C. Position the set in such a way that any maintenance jobs can be carried out without difficulty.
The base of the set must rest on a flat surface, to ensure that the pump is sitting perfectly vertical.
5.1.

Installation of the drive unit

Before installing the drive unit release the shaft.

OR drive heads: emove the upper cover unscrewing the cap screws and the set screw (fig. 8).

ME drive heads: disassemble the half coupling on motor side to have access to regulating nut (fig. 8). Unscrew the set
screw (fig. 8).
Use suitable lifting equipment (that allows the drive unit to be lifted through the side openings), graphite grease, flat
spanners and Allen wrenches for cylindrical-head screws with a hexagonal socket.
Parts to be assembled are: drive head L, stud bolts M, nuts C.
