The assistant display must show the assistant dialog.
Remove the handpiece from its receptacle. (The POLY-
LUX light is switched on via the timer function; auto-
matic time limit: max. 60 seconds).
Set the time of the timer as described below and switch
on the POLYLUX light with the Start timer key.
When switching over to the assistant dialog on the den-
tist panel, the stored time appears on the timer key as
soon as the assistant POLYLUX handpiece is removed,
and the dentist also has access to the POLYLUX light of
the assistant.
In addition, the POLYLUX light can also be switched ON
and OFF with the chair foot control (for configuration,
see chapter 16.1).
While the POLYLUX- light is on, a short acoustic signal
sounds every 20 seconds.
Preselection of timer setting
Three individually adjustable timer settings can be
selected
(factory setting: 10, 30, 60 sec).
The settings are selected by repeatedly touching the
preselection key lightly and briefly.
If this key is actuated longer, the
setting dialog appears.
In this program the times can be changed by pressing
the – / + keys.
Setting range continuous 1–60sec.
In the setting dialog, the
switch the soft start function ON / OFF.

NOTE
With soft start, the output power is started at 50% and in-
creased to 100% in 10% steps within 8 seconds.
