The SIROSONIC L instrument dialog appears when the
ultrasound handpiece has been removed from its recep-
tacle.
When the handpiece is put back into the receptacle, the
previously selected dialog appears again.
The handpiece is started by actuating the foot switch.
The cooling water flow is always switched on automati-
cally.
The functions of the displayed keys are identical with
those in the other dialogs.
The intensity can be preselected from 1% to 100% with
the – and + keys.
The Endo key is used to preselect endodontia. Intensity
limited to max. 4%.
Programming of functions
For the ultrasound handpiece, different functions can be
programmed for any user (A, B or C) in the three func-
tion levels E1, E2 and E3:
• Select function level E1, E2 or E3 for the ultrasound
handpiece in use.
• Select intensity in %.
• Select the light ON / OFF function.
Example: (symbols with bold frame)

• Actuate the programming key until three successive
acoustic signals sound. Then put the handpiece
back in its receptacle.
Programming is completed now.
After the handpiece has been removed from the recep-
tacle, the functions programmed in this function level will
always be available for treatment.
When the functions are reprogrammed, the previous
functions will be deleted automatically.
