4 Maintenance ________________

In the interest of the patient, the joint system must
be inspected at least once every 6 months or so-
oner in specific cases.

Locking mechanism wear
Injuries caused by loss of functionality
X Check the locking mechanism for wear.
X In case of wear, replace the corresponding com-
ponents.

5 Liability _____________________

The manufacturer can only assume liability when
the device is used according to the specified con-
ditions and for the intended purposes. The manuf-
acturer recommends that the device be used and
maintained according to the instructions for use.

6 CE Conformity ______________

This product meets the requirements of the 93/42/
EEC guidelines for medical devices. This device
has been classified as a class I device according
to the classification criteria outlined in appendix
IX of the guidelines. The declaration of conformi-
ty was therefore created by Ottobock with sole
responsibility according to appendix VII of the
guidelines.
