FRONT AXLE
MEASUREMENT AND
ADJUSTMENT SCREEN
Displays the measured values for the ve-
hicle front axle angles and the adjustment
reference tolerances.
The values are continually updated to
guide the operator performing the ad-
justment.
The following keys are active in this screen:
F1 displays the on-line "Help"
function
F2 goes back to the previous
screen
F3 (or Enter) goes to the next
screen
F11
displays the menu with the
relative functions.
These are the menu options:
• End of work (to go back to the starting
screen)
• Other page (displays the total toe and
the set back instead of the caster values
and vice versa)
• Freezes/de-freezes the caster data(freezes/
de-freezes the caster adjustment data to
allow for target levelling)
• Levels (displays/hides the status of the
target levels on the screen)
• Databank data summary (recalls the
screen that displays the vehicle nominal
values)
• Summary data (displays the vehicle data
summary screen)
• Vehicle adjustments (opens the screen
for selecting/displaying the adjustment
images of the vehicle angles)

• Adjustment with car lifted / End of the
adjustment with car lifted (accesses/exits
the vehicle registration procedure, with
the wheels lifted)
• Set-up (opens contextual set-up in the
current screen)
• Operating sequence (recalls the align-
ment execution setting screen, according
to the user's preferences)
• Help (recalls the Help contextual screen
on the screen where you are)
Remarks
• If the adjustment values are not displayed
on the caster registration boxes when
this screen opens, and the level status
is displayed in the two value windows,
level the measuring sensors so that values
measured are displayed and proceed with
the adjustment.
• If the steering angle procedure has not
been performed, the caster registration
boxes are displayed completely empty.
• While adjusting caster, if the variation is
big, the front measuring sensor may in-
cline causing a major error on the toe and
setback values calculated. If this condition
occurs at the end of the adjustment, it is
recommended to proceed as follows:
- Select "Congela dati incidenza" ("Freeze caster
data") from the F11
(freeze) the displayed caster value
(which appears in blue);
- Level the target;
- Select from the F11 menu
the "Scongela dati incidenza" ("De-freeze
caster data") option to unlock the caster
value;
- adjust the toe.
• If a clamp or a wheel has to be demounted
in order to adjust caster, a new compensa-
tion must be carried out on that wheel.
